A fake Fairfax & Favor store sells the £425 Regina boot for $202, with its own photos

fairfaxandfavorboutique.shop is a live store selling Fairfax & Favor boots, bags and belts under the brand's name, most at 65% off. Its Regina boot photo is the same file Fairfax & Favor publishes, and its product text is copied word for word. We found it by checking brand lookalike domains through DNS and public certificate logs.

The Regina page, copied down to the insole

The official Regina page is quiet and editorial: the Fairfax & Favor shield, a large studio photo of the boot, a calf-fit selector for Narrow, Regular and Sporting, and a price of £425 in the UK.

fairfaxandfavorboutique.shop keeps the name, shield logo and photography, and cuts the price. Its homepage runs a Fairfax & Favor campaign image under 'The Art of Rural Vogue', the brand's own slogan. The store page opens on a grid of Regina boots, a Windsor handbag and a Narford belt, each with a red -65% badge. The Regina product page carries Fairfax & Favor's description, from 'Our iconic Regina needs no introduction' down to the memory-foam insole.

The fake Regina page is the brand's own photo and description with a new price: $202.21.

Pulled from fairfaxandfavor.com, back-office names included

The Regina description matches the text in Fairfax & Favor's own product data word for word. The main black suede photo is the same 2,400 × 3,200 pixel file the brand publishes, at an image-hash distance of 0. The store keeps the brand's structure too: product addresses like /products/the-regina-black, and collection filters like '(Linked) Dress 10 jacket' and '(Linked) Dress 10 trench', which also appear in the official store's collection list. The catalogue looks like it was pulled from fairfaxandfavor.com automatically.

It runs to 124 pages of 12 items, about 1,490 listings. The official store's public product feed lists 785 products. The Regina in black, chocolate and tan suede is $202.21, the mahogany leather version $216.49 and the Heeled Regina $211.73. At current exchange rates, $202.21 is well under half the official £425.

The store names no company and gives no address. Its contact page lists only a support address at fairfaxandfavor.com, the brand's real domain, plus a message form. Its promises contradict each other. The homepage offers free global shipping and 60-day returns, while the FAQ says shipping is free only over $150 and returns are accepted for 30 days.

Two sister domains are already on hold

fairfaxandfavorhq.shop was registered on 22 May 2026, three days after the store's domain, and is now on client hold. fairfaxandfavorofficial.shop, registered on 19 July 2026, is on server hold. Both are suspensions applied by the registrar or the registry. Certificate logs show nine more brand-name domains with web certificates between 2023 and 2025, including fairfaxandfavors.shop and fairfaxandfavorshop.uk. None resolves today, and we could not see what they hosted.

Fairfax & Favor has covered the obvious misspelling: fairfaxandfavour.com and fairfaxandfavour.co.uk both forward to the official site.

An exact-image search on the brand's product photos also returned 60 pages on 55 unrelated websites, from small businesses to institutions, carrying machine-generated listings like 'Regina Cheap Fairfax And Favor Boots'. That is the pattern we see when legitimate sites are compromised to host shop pages. In our tests, 30 sent visitors on to 16 different online shops selling generic boots and coats.

No order placed, and the marketplaces were quiet

We placed no order with the fake store and cannot say what, if anything, a buyer would receive. We compared one product photo pixel for pixel. The other photos look like official images, but we did not hash-check each of them.

Our AliExpress search for the brand returned only unbranded riding and cowboy boots, Alibaba returned wedding favour boxes, and DHgate blocked our searches. The eBay listings in our scan were individual resales of Fairfax & Favor boots, bags and knitwear at second-hand prices, with no evidence they were fakes. Amazon, Temu, TikTok and ad searches returned nothing using the brand.

How to shut it down

The takedown plan, step by step, built from the evidence above.

1

Archive the store before it moves

Save fairfaxandfavorboutique.shop's catalogue, product pages, prices, contact page and DNS records before the operator switches to a new domain.

2

Report domain and host in one package

Send the registrar and hosting provider the identical Regina photo, the copied product text and collection names, and the Fairfax & Favor name and logo on every page.

3

Watch new .shop registrations

Three brand-name .shop domains appeared between May and July 2026, and two are already on hold. Monitor new registrations and certificates for the brand name, especially ahead of autumn boot season.

4

Get the hijacked pages delisted

Ask search engines to drop the hijacked pages carrying your product photos, and alert the site owners, who are probably unaware.

The fake store's complaints go to Fairfax & Favor

The store gave itself away through collection names like '(Linked) Dress 10 jacket', copied from the real store's data along with the photos and product text. No shopper would think to check that.

A shopper sees the Regina photo, the shield and a price under half the real one. If the boots never arrive, the only support address on the site is at fairfaxandfavor.com, so the complaint lands on Fairfax & Favor. Two sister domains are on hold. This one is still selling.
