The best brand protection services for established consumer brands in 2026
TL;DR
- For an established consumer brand that wants enforcement done for it and sign-off on everything filed in its name, Takedown is first here: a person checks every match, nothing is filed until the brand approves the case, its team files with the platform, host and registrar, and it watches US trademark filings in the brand's classes.
- Red Points (managed tiers across the 5,000+ marketplaces it claims, plus social media, ads and apps) and MarqVision (partner law firms that litigate when sellers relist) are the better buy when regional marketplaces in Latin America or South-East Asia, app stores or legal escalation are the priority.
- Corsearch suits a brand whose legal team also needs trademark screening, clearance and watch beyond the US, and Smart Protection suits one fighting unauthorised Amazon sellers on a flat fee with unlimited takedowns.
- Every price and feature here is from the vendor's own site, with the date it was read; among the six, two publish a price: Takedown from $500 a month, month to month with a free 360° report, and Red Points self-serve from $1,250 a month.
Brand protection for an established consumer brand is finding counterfeit listings, copycat stores, lookalike domains, fake accounts and conflicting trademark filings on every channel the brand sells through, getting them removed through each platform's, host's or registrar's own reporting process, and escalating to lawyers when that is not enough. This page is for the brand, legal or e-commerce lead at a consumer brand that already sells on Amazon, its own Shopify store and other marketplaces, and wants the enforcement done for it rather than run in-house. We run Takedown and rank it first, so this is partisan. Every claim is sourced to the vendor's own site and dated; where we can't back something up, we left it out. Vendor facts were read on 14 October 2026; where a vendor does not publish a price or a feature, we say so rather than fill the gap.
What counts as brand protection for an established brand
A brand protection service finds unauthorised uses of your brand (a counterfeit listing, a store that copied your catalogue, a domain one letter off yours, an account using your name, a trademark application for your word in your class) and gets each one removed or flagged through the route that already exists for it. For an established brand the job is wider than for a new one, because the copies are on more channels and the legal team wants to see what is filed in the brand's name. Four things are often sold under the same name and are not it:
- Trademark prosecution. Registering and defending your marks is a lawyer's work. A trademark watch tells you a conflicting application exists; opposing it is a legal proceeding, and worth asking a solicitor or trademark attorney.
- Price and reseller policing. A genuine product sold below your price, or by a seller you did not authorise, is not a counterfeit, and most platforms will not act on it as an IP report. Some vendors below sell distribution control separately.
- A lawsuit or a UDRP complaint. Suing a repeat seller or asking a panel to transfer a domain registered in bad faith is legal action. Some vendors have partner firms for it; a platform takedown is not it.
- A security team's phishing programme. Phishing kits and executive impersonation are digital-risk work, sold to security teams. One vendor below sells both, and a consumer brand focused on counterfeits may need only half of it.
What an established brand needs from it
Before any vendor, these are the requirements the rest of this page is ranked against.
- Several marketplaces and regions. Amazon is rarely the only one. Count the Amazon stores you sell in (.com, .co.uk, .de and so on), then the other marketplaces where your bestsellers turn up, including regional ones outside the UK, EU and US.
- Copycat stores and lookalike domains. A cloned Shopify store on a domain one letter off yours is removed by its host or registrar, not by a marketplace. Ask whether the vendor files with hosts and registrars as well as platforms. The Lookalike Domain Finder shows what is registered against your name today.
- Social media impersonation. Fake accounts selling your products on Instagram, TikTok or Facebook. Ask which networks are searched and how an account is found: by name, by image, or both.
- A trademark watch. New applications for your word in your goods classes, in every register you trade under. Ask which registers: the USPTO only, or the EUIPO, UKIPO and others as well.
- Evidence a lawyer can use. Screenshots, dates, and domain and seller records for every case, in a form your in-house or outside counsel can rely on if a case goes further than a platform report.
- Someone accountable for refused reports. Platforms reject a share of reports. Ask who resubmits them, under what claim, and whether that costs extra.
- Reporting for the leadership team. What was found, what was filed, what came down and what did not, per channel and per month. Ask for a sample report before you sign.
- Approval control. Nothing should be filed in the brand's name without someone at the brand signing it off. A report against a genuine reseller, or a stream of rejected claims, counts against the brand on platforms such as Amazon.
The services, ranked for an established consumer brand
| Service | Best for | Who files | Published price |
|---|---|---|---|
| Takedown | Copycat stores and marketplace copies, every case approved | Our team, after you approve each case | From $500/month |
| Red Points | Many marketplaces and regions, plus social, ads and apps | Its team (managed) or you (self-serve) | Managed quoted; self-serve from $1,250/month |
| MarqVision | Repeat sellers, with law firms behind the takedowns | MarqVision, with MarqLaw partner firms | Not published |
| Corsearch | Legal teams that need trademark clearance and watch too | Its analysts and your team | Not published |
| Smart Protection | Unauthorised sellers and high volume, on a flat fee | Smart Protection | Not published (flat fee, unlimited takedowns) |
| BrandShield | Phishing and impersonation as well as counterfeits | BrandShield, from a 24/7 operations centre | Not published |
Takedown is first because it is the only service on this list whose own site states all four of these: a person checks every match before the brand sees it; nothing is filed in the brand's name until the brand approves the case; its own team files, with the platform, the host and the registrar; and new US trademark filings in the brand's goods classes are watched. Corsearch sells the widest trademark watch here, but its analysts and your own team enforce from the platform, and approving each case is not described. MarqVision, Smart Protection and BrandShield file for you, but neither an approval step nor a filing watch is described on the pages we read, and Red Points lists no filing watch. Each of those is checkable on the vendors' pages listed under sources. The same team covers copycat stores and lookalike domains, Amazon (.com, .co.uk, .de and .fr), eBay, AliExpress, Alibaba, Temu and TikTok Shop listings, Meta ads, and Instagram, TikTok, Facebook, YouTube and Threads accounts, on month-to-month terms with a free 360° report before the brand pays, and we publish the evidence from real cases with domains, prices and dates. It is not first on everything: it has no worldwide trademark watch, app stores or legal escalation. After Takedown the order is by how many of the requirements above a service meets with its own team filing, then the legal escalation behind it when a platform refuses or a seller comes back, then how long it has been doing this work. BrandShield is last because much of what it sells is security tooling a consumer brand may not need, not because it does the job worse.
Takedown (our service)
trytakedown.com- Best for
- An established brand that wants copycat stores, lookalike domains, marketplace copies and fake accounts filed for it, with a person checking every match and nothing sent in its name until it approves the case.
- What it does
- Searches for copycat stores and lookalike domains through domain variants, certificate logs, Google search and reverse image search. Scans Amazon (up to nine storefronts), eBay (up to eight), AliExpress, Alibaba, Temu, TikTok Shop, DHgate and Chrono24 listings, plus Google Lens matches for your photos on any marketplace, checks Meta and TikTok ads, searches Instagram, TikTok, Facebook, YouTube and Threads for accounts using your brand name, and watches US (USPTO) trademark filings in your goods classes. A person checks every match, you approve each case, and our team files with the platform, the host and the registrar. Each case carries screenshots and the domain's DNS and registration records. See fake website takedown.
- Price
- From $500 a month, month to month with no annual lock-in. The quote comes with a free 360° report of what is copying your brand.
The better buy when you want control over what is filed in your brand's name: every case reaches you with its evidence, and nothing is sent until you approve it. It is also the better buy when copycat storefronts and lookalike domains are a large part of the problem, because it files with the host and registrar as well as the platform, and when you want one team filing across marketplaces and social accounts on month-to-month terms. We publish breakdowns of real copycat operations with the domains, prices and dates, so you can see the evidence standard before you talk to us.
Honest trade-offs: its trademark watch covers US (USPTO) filings only, not the EUIPO or UKIPO, where Corsearch sells clearance and watch. There is no legal arm: it files with platforms, hosts and registrars, and does not litigate, investigate or recover revenue the way MarqVision and Corsearch do. App stores are not covered. Etsy, Walmart and SHEIN are reached through reverse image search, and social accounts are found by searching for your brand name, so an account that never uses the name is missed.
Red Points
redpoints.com- Best for
- An established brand selling across many marketplaces and regions that wants a managed team running takedowns on websites, social media, ads and apps as well, on flat fees rather than per takedown.
- What it does
- Detection and takedown across marketplaces (it claims 5,000+, including Amazon, eBay, AliExpress, Walmart, Temu, TikTok Shop, Shopee and MercadoLibre), fake websites and domains, social media, ads and mobile apps. You run it yourself on the self-serve plan, or have it fully managed by Red Points' team. Both are sold with 'unlimited detections & takedowns' within scope. It says it is 'trusted by 1,300+ brands of all sizes', and it has offices in New York, Barcelona, Beijing and Salt Lake City.
- Price
- Managed tiers (Starter, Professional, Enterprise) are quoted on request; Starter covers up to 10 trademarks. Self-serve: Brand Protection Plan $938/month, plus $174/month for one trademark and a fee per marketplace (Amazon's 19 domains $285/month; all marketplaces and domains $820/month); the order form asks for at least $1,250 a month. Term length is not published. Read 14 October 2026.
Honest trade-offs: the managed price and the contract term are not published, so the comparison that matters to this buyer starts on a sales call. Fake website protection is an add-on in the self-serve configurator, so check what your quoted managed tier includes. Trademark filing watch is not among the channels its site lists.
The better buy when you sell into Latin America or South-East Asia, where its configurator prices Shopee, MercadoLibre, Lazada, OLX, Carousell and Flipkart alongside Amazon, or when you want the option of running the platform in-house later without changing supplier. It is the only service on this page that lists marketplaces, websites, social media, ads and app stores and publishes a price for any of it.
MarqVision
marqvision.com- Best for
- A consumer brand whose counterfeits keep coming back from the same sellers, which wants partner law firms ready to litigate, recover revenue and investigate behind the takedowns.
- What it does
- Its Marq AI platform detects and enforces across marketplaces, websites and domains, search listings, social media and gaming platforms. MarqLaw partner law firms handle litigation, revenue recovery, investigations and offline raids, and it monitors offline seller networks in Asia. Offices in Los Angeles, San Francisco, New York, Seoul, Paris, Shanghai and Tokyo. It offers a free brand scan (MarqRadar).
- Price
- Not published ('customised pricing based on your specific needs'). Read 14 October 2026.
Honest trade-offs: no public price or contract terms. Paid ads and app stores are not among the channels its site lists, and neither a trademark filing watch nor an approval step before filing is described on the pages we read, so ask about both.
The better buy when a seller ignores removals and keeps relisting, or your counterfeits trace back to manufacturers and wholesalers in Asia. Litigation, investigations and raids come from the same supplier as the takedowns, rather than from a separate firm you brief from scratch.
Corsearch
corsearch.com- Best for
- A brand with an in-house legal team that wants trademark screening, clearance and watch from the same supplier as its online enforcement, and will share the enforcement work with the vendor's analysts.
- What it does
- AI detection with expert oversight on its Zeal 2.0 platform, across marketplaces, websites and domain names, social media, app stores and search engines. Trademark screening, clearance and watch through TrademarkNow. Investigations 360 sets out to find the people and places behind the threats, and Revenue Recovery 360 aims to hold infringers financially accountable. It also runs content protection for books, gaming, music and film. It says it has 5,500 customers worldwide and protects 73 of the Fortune 100.
- Price
- Not published; buying starts with a demo request. Read 14 October 2026.
Honest trade-offs: enforcement is run by Corsearch analysts and your own team from the platform, so it suits a brand with people to take part more than one that wants everything handed over. It is an enterprise suite with separate products for trademarks, brand protection and content protection to scope, and paid ads are not named as a channel of their own.
The better buy when you need clearance before a launch and a trademark watch beyond the US after it. No other service on this page sells trademark clearance, and its watch is the widest described here.
Smart Protection
smartprotection.com- Best for
- A consumer brand with a high volume of fakes and unauthorised sellers, including on Amazon, that wants a flat fee with unlimited takedowns and reseller monitoring from the same supplier.
- What it does
- An AI platform with enforcement, supported by a network of legal and tech partners. It covers fake websites, cybersquatting and typosquatting; counterfeits, unauthorised sellers and Amazon Buy Box control on marketplaces; social media; unauthorised ads on Google and social media; and fake apps. Its MAP and e-tailer control monitors pricing across e-commerce platforms, and it removes pirated video-on-demand content and illegal live streams. Based in Madrid.
- Price
- Not published. It says the fee is flat with unlimited takedowns; you book a demo for a quote. Read 14 October 2026.
Honest trade-offs: the flat fee has no published figure. Trademark filing watch is not among its listed services, and an approval step before filing is not described on the pages we read.
The better buy when unauthorised sellers and the Amazon Buy Box are as much of the problem as counterfeits, or ad hijacking on Google and social media is costing you. Distribution control and counterfeit enforcement come under one fee.
BrandShield
brandshield.com- Best for
- A brand whose customers are targeted by phishing sites, fake profiles and paid-ad scams as well as counterfeit listings, with a legal, compliance or security team to run the programme.
- What it does
- AI detection plus enforcement by its own experts, with a 24/7 global security operations centre running takedowns. Covers phishing sites, lookalike domains and copycat websites; counterfeit listings, unauthorised sellers and grey market; fake accounts and impersonation profiles; paid-ad scams; rogue apps; the dark web; and how the brand appears in AI-generated answers. It says it serves 500+ global brands and that 98% of brand threats are detected and removed within its SLA.
- Price
- Not published; you request a demo. Read 14 October 2026.
Honest trade-offs: much of the platform (dark web monitoring, executive impersonation, external cybersecurity) is security tooling a consumer brand focused on counterfeits may not need. It sells Trademark & IP Protection, but a filing watch is not described on the pages we read.
The better buy when scams against your customers spike outside office hours and you want a staffed operations centre on them, or the security team and the brand team want one supplier for phishing and counterfeits.
