A fake TALA store copied 544 product pages and sells £15 gift cards for $6.01
talaactivewear.com, registered on 9 July 2026, lists 749 products with TALA's own product photography and takes 70% off everything, TALA gift cards included. It shows no visible right to sell TALA. It was the one working store among 24 TALA lookalike domains; Tala is a common word and name, so the rest belonged to unrelated businesses, from a jewellery shop to a fitness app and a recruiting firm, or were parked.

On wearetala.com, the DayFlex Contrast Sweetheart Sports Bra shows a model in Shadow Black against a pale grey wall, a studio packshot, 14 reviews and a price of £42.00.
talaactivewear.com shows the same product and the same photograph under the TALA wordmark, at $16.82 against a struck-through $56.06. The photo matches TALA's file at an image-hash distance of 0. Page titles end in TALA., and the about page and footer paraphrase TALA's own line about activewear you'll feel good in, and good about.
The store took TALA's photos and TALA's prices, converted the prices to dollars and knocked off 70%.
What we caught
talaactivewear.com lists 749 products. 544 sit at exactly the same web address as a product on wearetala.com, from the DayFlex Zip Through Sports Jacket to the Sculpt Seamless Scrunch Legging, with TALA's product names, colours and sizes.
In a sample of 20 copied products, 17 lead photos matched TALA's official files at a combined image-hash distance of 0 to 3. The DayFlex Contrast Sweetheart Sports Bra photo is identical: distance 0.
All 749 items are 70% off. For 543 of the 544 copied products, the struck-through price is TALA's full UK price times 1.335, shown in dollars. The £42 sports bra is $16.82; the £69 DayFlex jacket is $27.63.
Product pages repeat TALA's internal merchandising tags, such as april dayflex ss26 and non sale, on items marked 70% off. The contact page offers help to create the perfect home and garden space and lists example@example.com as its email.
The evidence

£15 gift cards for $6.01
The store's shop grid opens with TALA gift cards. The £15 card is $6.01 against a struck-through $20.02, with 1000 in stock; the £200 card is $80.09. The listings copy the tags TALA uses for the same cards on its own store, including Stocking fillers and voucher. A store with no link to the brand selling gift cards below face value is a clear warning sign.
The rest of the site is a template. The contact page shows broken form code where the form should be, a placeholder address on Route 66 in Washington and example@example.com as its email. The footer links to a Refund/ Retum Policy. The FAQ gives buyers seven days to request a return; TALA offers 30.
Pages built 11 days before the domain
The store's WordPress pages were created on 28 June 2026, eleven days before talaactivewear.com was registered on 9 July. The home and about pages were last edited on 9 July, registration day. Product records are dated 11 March 2026, which suggests the catalogue was copied months before the store opened.
Two more TALA-name domains appeared in the same window: talaofficial.com on 28 June 2026 and talaclothing.com on 16 September 2026. Both show only a registrar's parking page. tala-shop.com, registered on 14 March 2026, points to an online store platform but shows no shop. Nothing ties any of them to talaactivewear.com beyond timing, and we could not confirm who runs the store.
TALA swimwear photos on 19 hijacked pages
The marketplaces were quiet. Amazon results for Tala were other businesses with the name, such as a bakeware maker and a snack brand, and we found no TALA activewear sold there by third parties. eBay showed ordinary second-hand TALA pieces. Alibaba, AliExpress and Temu returned unrelated products. We found no impersonating TikTok accounts or ads.
The exact-image search did find TALA's swimwear photography, mainly the Aphrodite Plunge Neck Ring Bikini Top, on 19 pages hosted by unrelated websites that appear to have been compromised. They were indexed under generic swimwear titles without TALA's name. Following four as a search visitor, two forwarded us to discount swimwear stores and two now show only the sites' normal content. Further matches on a large marketplace could not be checked because the site blocked automated access.

A £15 gift card for $6.01 is the tell
The store got careless where shoppers rarely look: the contact page still talks about gardens, and products still carry TALA's internal tags. Where shoppers do look, the photos, names and logo are exact copies. Someone paying $16.82 for a TALA sports bra has every reason to think they are buying from TALA, and if the parcel never comes or the 7-day return window closes, TALA is the name they will look up.
No real retailer sells another brand's £15 gift card for $6.01. A store willing to do that is unlikely to deliver the clothes either.
