A fake DIRTEA store copied about 110 mushroom products, then called itself a fashion label

Two live shops trade under DIRTEA's name. dirteahealth.shop, registered on 10 May 2026, copies the official catalogue, photos and product descriptions. dirteamushroom.co.uk, registered on 4 June 2026, sells 22 DIRTEA products with the brand's own photos. Neither shows a company name or an address on the pages we checked. DIRTEA sells functional mushroom powders, coffees, matcha and gummies from dirteaworld.com. We found both shops in certificate logs and a sweep of brand-name domains.

DIRTEA's catalogue under a fashion brand's About page

dirteahealth.shop opens with the DIRTEA wordmark, a 'Shop by Format / Shop by Benefit' menu and a banner for 'Up to 70% Off Selected Items'. Its 10 catalogue pages hold about 110 products, close to the 115 in DIRTEA's own product feed: powders, 12-month subscriptions, gummies, sachets and even the empty collagen jar DIRTEA added in January 2026.

The photos are DIRTEA's. The Lion's Mane gummies photo matches the official file exactly (hash distance 0), and the coffee pouch photo at a distance of 2. On the Cordyceps page, every line of the official text appears in the same order.

Past the product pages, nobody edited the store. The About page calls DIRTEA 'a contemporary fashion label dedicated to blending high-street grit with luxury silhouettes'. The homepage promises 'Premium Fabrics' and 'Ethical Sourcing', and its three customer quotes praise an oversized fit and hoodies. The contact page gives only an email address on a domain other than dirteaworld.com.

The product pages say 'Feel the DIRTEA difference'. The About page says DIRTEA is a contemporary fashion label.

What we caught

01 · Cordyceps copy, word for worddirteahealth.shop

The Cordyceps page repeats DIRTEA's description word for word, from '2,000mg of Cordyceps per serving' to 'Feel the DIRTEA difference'. Several product addresses reuse the official store's internal names, including 'copy-of-chaga-mushroom-powder-2'.

02 · £38 becomes $51.64, then $18.07Pricing

List prices are DIRTEA's sterling prices converted to dollars at one fixed rate: £38 becomes $51.64, and the £1,087.49 yearly boxset $1,477.85. The store grid then marks items 65% down, such as a Cordyceps powder at $18.07.

03 · Its About page sells streetwearTemplate

The About page calls DIRTEA 'a contemporary fashion label' selling 'bold, high-quality apparel'. Homepage reviews praise an 'oversized fit' and 'hoodies'. The store looks built from a fashion template nobody finished editing.

04 · 22 products, signed '© 2026 DIRTEA'dirteamushroom.co.uk

A WordPress shop signed '© 2026 DIRTEA' lists 22 DIRTEA products in sterling, a few pounds under official prices. Its Reishi photo matches the official file at a hash distance of 3. We found no company details.

dirteamushroom.co.uk · shop

22 DIRTEA listings in sterling: £35 powders, £25 gummies and £290 yearly subscriptions.

Converted at 1.359, then cut 65%

The pricing follows one formula. dirteahealth.shop shows DIRTEA's sterling prices in dollars at about 1.359. A 60 g powder is £38 on dirteaworld.com and $51.64 on the copy. A 12-month powder subscription is £293.92 officially and $399.43 on the copy. The yearly DIRTEA Boxset is £1,087.49 and $1,477.85. In the store grid, many items then carry a '-65%' badge: the Cordyceps and Tremella powders drop to $18.07, the Boxset subscription to $517.25.

The discount doesn't hold. On the Cordyceps product page, choosing the 60 g size showed the full $51.64 instead of the grid's $18.07. We added nothing to a basket and did not reach checkout, so we cannot say what the store would charge, or whether anything would arrive.

A second shop signed '© 2026 DIRTEA', and 14 parked names

dirteamushroom.co.uk is a WordPress shop with a 'Buy Dirtea Mushroom' homepage and 22 products, all titled DIRTEA and all using the brand's photos, uploaded in June 2026. Prices sit a little under DIRTEA's: £35 for a 60 g powder against £38, £25 for gummies against £34, £95 for the gummies boxset against £136. The About page calls it 'a curated collection of mushroom products'. The footer reads '© 2026 DIRTEA. All rights reserved.' With no company name or address on its pages, a shopper has no way to tell it apart from the brand. Homepage lines such as 'Tools to steep your trip just right' look left over from a tea-shop template.

Certificate logs also showed 14 brand-name domains, including dirteahealth.com, dirteaworld.co and dirtea.net, that redirect to a domain-parking page. We could not see who owns them, and some may be DIRTEA's own defensive registrations. Variants such as dirtea.org and dirteaworld.it redirect to dirteaworld.com.

These are supplements, so a lost payment is the smaller risk. Neither shop says where its stock comes from or who ships it. A buyer cannot check whether a tub of gummies or a pouch of powder is genuine, in date or properly stored. We did not buy or test any product.

Marketplaces: resale at or above DIRTEA's prices

On eBay, 13 of the 20 results for 'DIRTEA' were the brand's products, from six sellers, mostly at or above DIRTEA's own prices. One US listing asked $107.89 for a Chaga powder; DIRTEA's 60 g Chaga pouch is £38. Nothing suggested the listings are counterfeit. Walmart showed three DIRTEA matcha listings, two described as British imports, including two 180 g pouches for $190.08. On Amazon UK, DIRTEA runs its own brand store, and the results we reviewed showed nothing that looked unauthorised, though we did not check every seller.

Google's image index matched DIRTEA product photos on 13 pages across 10 unrelated websites, mostly under DIRTEA product titles, a pattern typical of compromised sites used for search spam. Two Alibaba packaging-supplier listings showed a DIRTEA tin photo; Alibaba put up a bot check and we stopped there. Otherwise, Alibaba and AliExpress returned unrelated 'dirty wash' goods, and TikTok Shop, Temu and the ad library returned nothing.

How to shut it down

The takedown plan, step by step, built from the evidence above.

1

Archive both shops now

Save the product, About and contact pages, the price grid and the registration records of dirteahealth.shop and dirteamushroom.co.uk while they are live.

2

Lead with the copied photos and text

The gummies and pouch photos and the Cordyceps description are yours. Send them, with the matching URLs, to each registrar and hosting provider.

3

Sort the 14 parked names

Confirm which of the 14 parked brand-name domains you already own. Watch the rest for content, mail records or new certificates.

4

Tell customers where DIRTEA sells

Say publicly that DIRTEA sells from dirteaworld.com and its listed stockists, and that '65% off' offers on other domains are not DIRTEA's.

DIRTEA's own words sell the fake

dirteahealth.shop convinces because its product pages are DIRTEA's own words and photos. The About page and the hoodie reviews give it away, because nobody replaced the fashion template's text.

Both shops appeared in the past five months with 'dirtea' in the domain and no named company behind them. A customer who buys a mushroom powder from either and gets nothing, or a stale pouch, goes looking for DIRTEA. A regular check of new certificates and domains containing 'dirtea' would catch the next one early.
