Why do takedown notices get rejected?

The most common reasons are the wrong claim type (a copyright claim for a trademark problem), missing registration numbers, vague URLs instead of exact listings, and no proof that the content is yours.

Do I need a test buy for counterfeits?

For counterfeit claims on marketplaces, a test buy that proves the product is fake makes the claim far stronger, and some platforms expect it. For copied photos, a copyright claim is usually simpler.

How should I capture screenshots?

Capture the full page including the URL bar and date, save the page source or a web archive copy, and keep the original files. Listings disappear and reappear, and dated evidence protects you.
